At BLUR we use the first FDA approved Microneedling device, Skinpen by Bellus Medical. Each single use sterile Skinpen tip contains 14 needles, with depth adjusting capabilities to personalize treatment specific to you.

​What to expect:

During the Treatment

Your skin is cleansed and prepped with a topical numbing agent for comfort.  The Skinpen tip is gently guided over your face and/or neck intentionally to allow for the controlled injury from the tip’s 14 micro needles to stimulate collagen production. If you selected an upgrade, Skinvive or PRP will be incorporated seamlessly into your treatment.

After the Treatment

You may experience mild redness and sensitivity for 24–48 hours—similar to a sunburn.  Mild bleeding is common, and skin will appear red, possibly with light swelling. Most clients resume normal activities shortly after. Visible improvement develops over the following weeks as collagen rebuilds beneath the surface. 

​Downtime: Redness, dryness, or flaking of skin from microneedling treatment may last up to 5 days. Areas of discoloration may appear darker during this period of recovery prior to improvement. You will be provided with a special topical agent to apply as the only product to your skin for 24 hours, and may be used for up to 7 days. We suggest avoiding active ingredients, such as retinol, AHAs/BHAS or chemical exfoliants, for at least 1 week. We also suggest avoiding other professional facial treatments, or medical chemical peels for at least 2 weeks following micro-needling facial treatment.

​Results: Expect brighter, smoother skin in as little as 7 days and results may last up to 6 months. For best results, we suggest this treatment should be repeated as a total series of 3, spaced 1-2 months apart and then as needed.​

Additional info: Consider pairing microneedling treatments with dermaplaning (removal of the top layer of dead skin cells) prior for further heightened results.
